Spinning Wheel- Lojan Buddy

This is a great little wheel at a very reasonable price.

Designed by Jan Louet- as a retirement adventure  with his daughter Loes van Aken. Designed for long use and practicality... No need to change bobbin and flyer when plying, no need to change the flyer when spinning art yarn! 

• It comes with 4 bobbins, with a capacity of approx. 200 grams, and a stand alone lazy kate for three bobbins.
• It has  Dutch Tension- it is bobbin-led with an aerodynamical design of the flyer- resulting in much less pull on than Irish tension. 
• There are 5 ratios 1:4, 1:6, 1:9, 1:13 and 1:18-suitable for spinning thick, thin and art yarn.  the wheel has a diameter of 41 cm
• There are 2 orifice sizes, 18 or 12mm when the 12 mm orifice is inserted and it swivels to prevent wobbling yarn. 
• Orifice height is 65cm- a comfortable height
• The sliding guides on the flyer have an opening, one insets the yarn instead of pulling it through.
•  Made of solid and laminated beech
• One can finish the wood with  bees wax, danish oil, clear estapol or paint or decorate- ie choose your own finish 
• Instructions for assembly are good, and self assembly keeps the price low!
• It is packed well with paper, has no plastic packaging
